Genesis Castaneda
Dancer. Teaching Artist. Choreographer.
Genesis Castaneda began her dance training under Michelle Grant-Murray as a student and company member of the Jubilation Dance Ensemble (JDE) at Miami Dade College (MDC) Kendall Campus. Moving to Philadelphia, Genesis graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at the University of the Arts under the direction of Donna-Faye Burchfield. She has been able to work and train with artists such as Kyle and Dinita Clark, Marguerite Hemmings, Tommie-Waheed Evans, Kim Bears-Bailey, and Thom White. She performed with Rennie Harris PureMovement for 'LIFTED!' in 2022. and is currently a Hip-Hop teacher at MoveMakers Philly, under the direction of Vincent Johnson. Genesis is also an active member of Rennie Harris's Awe-Inspiring Works (RHAW) since 2022.
